FREE PICKS: CAROLINA PANTHERS

This is the Panthers first nationally televised game of the season. They've been doubted by pretty much everyone up to this point, so they definitely will be playing with a chip on their shoulders. Look for a big game by Cam an company today. My PICK is PANTHERS MONEYLINE at -150. GOOD LUCK!!!

MICHIGAN STATE MIRACLE.

Speechless... The +240 on Michigan State MONEYLINE must've felt amazing especially the nature in which you WON this bet.

COMFORT ZONE.

First and foremost I would like to personally apologize for that piece of shit FREE PICK that I posted yesterday... Even with the negative history I have with the Dodgers, when my money is on the line with a team I'm still their biggest supporter. As a Giants fan it felt extremely good to watch them lose but at the end of the day I still wanted to get paid. But like I said in my earlier post LOSING is a part of the game and if you don't learn how to embrace that then you will not succeed in this profession... That's also where the BANKROLL MANAGEMENT comes into play. Please remember that at any given time, only 1% of my bankroll is on the line so I have no problem with losing outcomes... The 1%RULE that I posted about is always in play and hopefully with every post you will see the importance of follwing that strategy. So all BS aside, let's move forward and build from here. Please be patient with me as I'm still trying to iron out all kinks.

FREE PICKS: LOS ANGELES DODGERS

I didn't do any research nor try to cap this game at all... But I do have a history with the Dodgers. Every time I bet them they seem to lose and every time I bet against them they seem to win. Yeah, they're one of those teams... LOL. So that's why I'm making them my FREE PICK of the day. If they WIN, then I get paid. If they lose then I get the joy of seeing them go home early. It's sick, I know. Best of luck to all!!!

LOSING BETS.

Alot of people like to talk about WINNING and tend to hide the losing aspect... Well, for this post I'm gonna do the complete opposite and focus on LOSING. If you handicap sports then you know that losing is a big part of what happens. Most of the GREAT cappers will have a winning percentage of slightly above or below 60% during any given season and in any given sport. If you're hitting 60% of your straight plays at -110 and youre wagering the same unit amount every bet then that allows you to generate a profit with wins while paying the 10% juice on bets that lose. So for every 10 bets placed a great handicapper should lose about 4 of them, that's almost half of the bets placed, so losing just comes with the territory. As a handicapper you have to find a way to deal with LOSING cause simply put it's part of the game and will never change. That's where my post about MONEY MANAGEMENT comes into play. Alot of times it's not the losing result that affects us it's the money involved and lost. So all I can really say is just manage your money properly and everything else will fall into place including not letting the outcome of games affect you as much. GOOD LUCK!

NUMBERS DON'T LIE: If you WIN 60% of your wagers and place the same unit amount each wager at -110 odds then your PROFIT MARGIN per 10 bets will be 16%.

BANKROLL MANAGEMENT.

BANKROLL MANAGEMENT is probably the most important aspect of handicapping sports that gets overlooked the most. As handicappers most of us have that "I wanna hit the books hard" mentality every time we place wagers but in the heat of battle, don't realize we're playing right into the books hands by betting more than we can afford to lose. Sure it's important to try and make the best plays but what's even more important is being able to do this for an extended period of time by practicing good money management. At this point, my intentions are to be able to place wagers every single day so I only wager 1% of my entire bankroll per play. That might seem a little over cautious to many but like I said, my plan is to be here for the long haul so that is a conscious decision that I had to make for myself and my career moving forward. Having this mentality helps alleviate the roller coaster of emotions that comes when a wager placed ends up being a loser. If only 1% of your bankroll is at risk then alot of times you won't even care about a losing result and will be able to move on to the next play without any stress involved whatsoever. You have to remember that this is all a process and what I've learned from experience is that it takes time to be great... If you learn to manage your money properly then that's a big step towards being successful at this thing we call sportsbetting. I call my bankroll management method the 1%RULE, keep this in mind the next time you want to place a wager. It might not make sense right now but I can guarantee you will thank me later. $HARPEST signing out.

DERRYCK THORNTON

ESPN Player Profile: Derryck Thornton

Seeing Duke actually sign this kid was a very big shock to me. I live a few blocks away from Findlay College Prep and was able to watch Derryck play quite a bit, and to be very honest I was never impressed. Sure the atheltic ability is there but playing point guard is a very difficult and important role that Derryck has yet to master. The past couple of years that he played at Findlay Prep they've gotten progressively worse and in my opinion alot of that falls into his hands as the team's starting point guard. I could be totally wrong in my assessment and maybe CoacH K sees something I don't, but I would definitely hold off on laying the chalk on Duke until you watch a few games first. Here's a video of Derryck working out at Impact here in Las Vegas and he shows an improved jumper, the athletic ability has always been there so that doesn't surprise me at all. Only time will tell if Duke repeats as National Champions with Derryck at the helm. Maybe he proves me wrong but I don't see Duke even making the Sweet 16 this year.

MALIK NEWMAN

ESPN Player Profile: Malik Newman

One of the incoming freshman to watch for, Malik will be attending Mississippi State and might have a big impact on the outcome of games at that school should you decide to bet on them. I'm not even sure why he chose Mississippi State as he had offers from perennial powerhouses such as Kentucky and Kansas. But one thing's for certain, he is a one and done type of player. Malik possesses great speed as well as quickness and has a dominant scorers mentality, he kind of reminds me of smaller Paul George, and granted he has a successful season he could be a first round pick in as early as the 2016 NBA Draft.

INTRODUCTION.

To be perfectly honest, I'm not even sure how to start this... Basically this site was created out of necessity, shear boredom and utlimately the will to continue to be successful in life. I've been apart of many successful business ventures in the past and through it all I always held a passion for handicapping sports and beating the "house". I've been a sports fanatic all my life and as someone who has not only followed, but been a part of the sports handicapping lifestyle for almost a decade, I believe I've developed a somewhat competitive edge against the linesmakers. Hopefully I can share that wealth of knowledge and have the whole process cataloged through the creation of this website. That's pretty much it. The 2015-2016 NBA & NCAA Basketball season is less than a month away and is the sport I feel that I excel in the most. Hopefully you can come through often and see the progress of not only an amazing first season but the growth of this website and a new way of living. Whether you decide to come back or not, I THANK YOU for even visiting in the first place and I wish you all nothing but success in all of your endeavors... Let's all be GREAT!!! $HARPEST signing out.
